Manic-Depressive Illness

I am an artist with manic-depressive illness

or bipolarity as it is now days called. The music

below is a product of bipolarity as it is written

in the book Touched With Fire by Dr. Kay Jamison.

She connects bipolarity with artistic creative genius

& I am living proof of this. But there is a dark side

to bipolarity which leads to suicidal tendencies as

we have seen people kill themselves who have this

illness. Right now I am in one of those dark cycles

& I am praying that I can hang in there until the

up swing of my cycle turns to a good mania from

this dark depression. It is the price I must pay to

be able to create such beautiful piano music

I wrote this piano piece in 1997
It has no Opus number, and stands
out alone for itself. I have rerecorded
this piece. It sounds clean and

Study 4 Opus 4 in F minor

I have reposted this piece, but
this time played on harpsichord
which is what I wrote it for.
It is a Gothic romance scene
in a castle.

to write than it was to play.
