Looks Like I can Still Play/Compose!!!

So I am going to spend time writing piano music now and
let others play it since my 1,2,3, fingers on my right hand
are all messed up. The music will be better than before since
now I will spend more time writing/editing and less time
playing/improvising.

again by Nov. 2-3 2010 then I will start adding
my new pieces.

I still have lots of piano music that is not posted here.

I just hope that I can still write piano music with my

screwed up fingers. It is a lot easier for me to write

with a hands on technique that starts as an improv-

isation which then gets worked out and edited to a

final piece on paper. Scroll down to my audio

links and enjoy my neoclassical piano music.

NOTE: My finger is still bent. That steroid shot

took the swelling down but did not straighten

it out

Will I Ever Play Again?

I have been diagnosed with Dupuytren's Contracture

after going to the doctor for what I thought was a

bike accident related injury. I thought I tore a tendon

in my finger, but a hand doctor told me that its this

rare/uncommon dupuytren's contracture and that

is why my finger is bent down and inward.

So I guess I won't be playing any piano for a while

until I can get this under control. I got a steroid

injection today in my finger and have to wait a

month to see if it works.

It's already been two years since I have even touched

my piano. I am hoping that this problem does not

cause any permanent damage as I would like to play

again some day.

ago consisting of 20 studies.

Manic-Depressive Illness

I am an artist with manic-depressive illness

or bipolarity as it is now days called. The music

below is a product of bipolarity as it is written

in the book Touched With Fire by Dr. Kay Jamison.

She connects bipolarity with artistic creative genius

& I am living proof of this. But there is a dark side

to bipolarity which leads to suicidal tendencies as

we have seen people kill themselves who have this

illness. Right now I am in one of those dark cycles

& I am praying that I can hang in there until the

up swing of my cycle turns to a good mania from

this dark depression. It is the price I must pay to

be able to create such beautiful piano music
